Studio

Architectural ideas, parametric models and fabrication logic in a single workflow.

What is DDC-Make

Novi Sad · Serbia

DDC-Make is a design-to-fabrication studio: we develop complex architectural forms from early ideas through controlled geometry and fabrication-ready documentation. The studio’s role is defined for each project and may include concept development, parametric design and preparation for fabrication.

We collaborate with architects and design teams, clients and manufacturers, in Serbia and internationally. On one project, we develop the concept from the outset; on another, we take responsibility for a precisely defined part of the process.

The studio emerged as a spin-off from the Digital Design Centre (DDC) at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, focusing on the application of digital technologies in fabrication — “make”. It is led by Bojan Tepavčević, Professor of Architecture at the same faculty. This connection means that the methods we use are tested through both research and real-world fabrication.

Integrated workflow

01—04
  1. 01Concept development

An open idea, criteria and a field of possible solutions.

  2. 02Parametric model

Rules, parameters and control of geometric variations.

  3. 03Preparation for fabrication

Components, connections, identifiers and fabrication data.

  4. 04Built system

A clear connection between the model, components and assembly.
