Faceted interior elements developed from concept to fabrication

Role and attribution
Pinoles ShowroomDevelopment of faceted elements.
DDC-Make worked with Modelart Arhitekti on the concept development of the faceted interior elements. DDC-Make developed the parametric model controlling geometry, flat panels, perforations, edge-machining angles, the waffle substructure and component labelling for fabrication.
01 — Context
Pinoles ShowroomOne identity across two levels
The Pinoles showroom is organised across two levels, with spatially distinct zones requiring a recognisable shared identity.
The faceted elements were developed as spatial structures that guide movement, integrate lighting and establish the interior’s character.

02 — System
Pinoles ShowroomOne language, different elements
The parametric model allowed both elements to be developed from the same geometric logic while adapting to their specific space and function.
Changes in form, panel inclination and perforation were controlled as an interconnected set of parameters.

03 — From model to fabrication
Pinoles ShowroomGeometry ready for fabrication
Complex surfaces were rationalised into flat panels with precise edge-machining angles. The model also generated perforations, labels and the elements of the supporting waffle substructure.
Data for every component was derived from a single model, preserving the link between design intent and fabrication.

04 — Built result
Pinoles ShowroomTwo spaces, one controlled system
In the completed interior, the elements work as architecture in miniature, bringing geometry, structure, perforations and light together. Their shared logic remains legible despite different dimensions and positions.
